Lake Waukewan, nestled in the heart of New Hampshire's scenic Lakes Region, is known for its clear waters and year-round activities. This 928-acre lake is situated in Meredith and New Hampton, with the town of Center Harbor gracing part of its northern shoreline. The lake's historical significance is rooted in its early 1800s dam construction, which originally served to power local industry. Today, the dam plays a crucial role in controlling the water levels of not only Lake Waukewan but also the connected water systems.

Fun Fact: In Meredith's early days, the water rights of Measly Pond Brook, which drained Lake Waukewan into Lake Winnipesaukee, were utilized to power a gristmill and sawmill in the village. This contributed to the area's development as a mill town.

Other Lakes Available: Don’t see your lake here? Not to worry, contact us and inquire about your lake. We have a vast collection of lake signs in queue to be added to the website, so yours may have not been uploaded yet.

Disclaimer: Maps are intended for decoration only, may contain erroneous information, and may not be used for navigation. All geography changes over time. Lake depths not only change over the years, but season-to-season as well. And ocean depths, of course, change with the tides.
